Tucker Tries Out the GlocalMe PetPhone

We recently had the chance to check out the GlocalMe PetPhone, and Tucker was the first to test it. Carson helped with setup and shared his impressions from the human side, while Tucker provided plenty of feline feedback (in his own way, of course).

What Is the PetPhone?

  • Location & Fence Alerts: The app notified us when Tucker crept beyond his usual backyard zone. Being able to pinpoint his location in real time was reassuring.

  • Two-Way Voice: We tried calling through the device — Tucker perked up and looked around, clearly recognizing the sound. He wasn’t about to “talk back,” but the novelty was fun.

  • Activity Tracking: One morning the app flagged “low activity,” which matched up with Tucker’s marathon nap session. Over the week, the graphs gave us a window into his daily rhythms.

  • Durability: Light rain and outdoor wandering didn’t phase the PetPhone. The waterproofing held up perfectly.

Carson’s Impressions

From the setup side, Carson found the app straightforward and reliable. The geofencing, alerts, and location history all worked as advertised. The health/activity reports gave him a new perspective on Tucker’s habits, especially seeing the contrast between lazy afternoons and midnight zoomies.

Final Verdict

From Tucker:

“I’ll allow it. As long as I still get my naps and treats, this gadget can stay.”

From Carson:
The PetPhone genuinely delivered peace of mind and fascinating insights into Tucker’s routines. It’s one of the better smart trackers we’ve tested, especially for cats who like to push the boundaries of their usual turf.
